Johan Lundström (Managing Director, L.U.S.A)

Position: Managing Director, Lund University School of Aviation, Sweden

Qualifications: JAR-FCL and FAA (US) ATPL

Career History: Glider Pilot | Captain, Metroliner aircraft flying between Central America and the US | Chief Pilot, FAA Part 135 Operation | Chief Flight Instructor, FAA Part 141 | Captain, Fokker 50, Skyways | Head of Training, Skyways Type Rating Training Organisation (TRTO) | Managing Director, Lund University School of Aviation

Expertise: Johan has worked extensively in both the Swedish and US aviation industries, and specialises in training. He has accrued 8000 hours flying time and 2000 hours as an instructor. Much of his time at Skyways was devoted to building the capacity of Crew Resource Management (CRM). He is highly experienced in developing CRM training programs and has advised airlines on CRM issues. He has developed and conducted many leadership and instructor courses, including commander training, whereby first officers are trained in accordance with JAR regulations to become airline commanders

Jan Sjostrom (Head of Training, L.U.S.A)

Position: Head of Training, Lund University School of Aviation, Sweden

Qualifications: CPL with Multi Engine piston (land) as well as Single Engine piston (land) and the Instrument rating. A valid B737 300-900 co-pilot rating. Class Rate Instructor (CRI/ME), Instrument Instructor (IRI), Flight Instructor, Instructor (FI/I) and also aerobatic instructor. The licence and ratings are all according to JAR-FCL.

Expertise: Jan has been training with Lund University School of Aviation for the past 10 years with the past year in the role of Head of Training. Jan believes that one of the most important thing is the pedagogy and how the trainers at Lund University deliver the best and most suitable training for each individual student. Earlier this year Jan started flying with Sterling with the ambition to develop new training concepts to L.U.S.A as well as developing an
in-depth understanding of the Aviation market, so that he can
continue to share his experiences to the new young pilots.

Mats Nordgren (CFI, ISEA, Bacchus Marsh)

Position: Chief Flight Instructor, International School of European Aviation, Bacchus Marsh

Qualifications: CPL Multi Engine Piston and Single Engine Piston, Instrument rating, Class Rate Instructor, Instrument Instructor, all in accordance to the JAR-FCL

Career History: Glider Pilot | Flight Instructor, Lund University School of Aviation | Commander, Sterling

Expertise: Mats brings 22 years flying experience and a wealth of knowledge to the ISEA team. He has 8500 flight hours and 4300 hours as a flight instructor behind him. Eleven years into his career in aviation, Mats was employed by Lund University, where he spent 12 years training some of Europe's best pilots. In 1998 he moved to the commercial market, working for Sterling Airways as Commander of Boeing 727-200s and Boeing 737 NGs. Mats was also involved in the ongoing training of Sterling's pilots, and eventually took up the role of Simulator and Route Instructor
